Fezile is interested in conservation of Landscapes and biodiversity in African savanna biomes. Her PhD research is angled at determining the impacts of climate change on the distributions of functional savannas in Southern Africa. She is also looking at how land cover change, a growing threat in African savannas, could potentially impact the ability of plant species to colonize suitable areas in a changing climate. Her previous research focused on determining impacts of agricultural intensification on bat communities in Swaziland.
